The #2 ranking goes to Mercury of the Ford Motor Co.. This may help Ford gain more sales, showing consumers that their cars are becoming more reliable.

Lexus has been the best selling luxury car for the last eight years in a row. This shows if you make a reliable product people will be willing to pay the extra price.

Coming in 3rd place was General Motors' Cadillac. This was the same spot it had held the previous year. The Toyota brand was 4th just ahead of Acura, Honda's luxury line, who placed 5th.

Buick, another GM product, fell to 6th position from last years top spot with Lexus.
